This is a great retreat for solo travelers


Yes, we highly recommend travel insurance. A cancel for any reason CFAR is the best policy to select for travel insurance. Please contact us for details regarding insurance.

Do I need travel insurance?


On days when the tide is high in the morning and in the afternoon we normally surf twice. Our goal is to give at least 2 hours of down time a day for relaxation. Surf chat topics change depending on skill level, if there is something in particular you would like to discuss please let us know, we will be happy to help. Everything is optional and we encourage you to make this retreat your own and not feel obligated to do everything or do to it all, the choice is yours. We Our day would flow like this.

What is a typical day like at sister surf retreats?






To secure your spot at Sister Surf & Yoga Retreat, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit amount is $600 will be specified at the time of reservation and is applied toward your total retreat cost. The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 60 days prior to your arrival. We accept various payment methods for your convenience, ensuring a seamless transaction process.

How do I reserve my spot


Where do I fly into?

Costa Rica North

  • Liberia airport (LIR) only 60 minutes from the retreat location

  • San Jose (SJO) 5+ hour drive or 30-minute flight on Sansa Airlines fly to Tamarindo Costa Rica 20 minutes away (TRANSPORT NOT INCLUDED FROM SAN JOSE)

Puerto Rico

  • Aguadilla airport (BQN) is only 10 minutes from the retreat location

  • San Juan airport (SJU) 2-hour drive


What time are the shuttles?

Costa Rica

Liberia Airport (LIR) Shuttle

  • 2:00 pm shuttle

  • 5:00 pm shuttle

    -book your flight within our shuttle times we don’t offer transport from San Jose Airport only Liberia Airport. Flights landing outside our shuttle time you will need to pay for your own transfer.

Puerto Rico

Aguadilla Airport (BQN)

Mexico

Ixtapa (ZIH)

    - you will need to fly to Mexico City first and then take a connecting flight to Ixtapa


Yes, we welcome all levels of surfers! We generally have a mix of first-time surfers and intermediate surfers. Our retreats are a great way to take your surfing to the next level. With video analysis after each session, you can see first-hand your progress from the first day to the last. From pop-ups to turns and even tube rides, we got you covered.

I have never surfed before, can I still come to a retreat? What if I can surf already?


At Sister Surf & Yoga Retreat, we understa that plans may change. Our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility while also considering the needs of all guests. For cancellations made 60 days or more before the start date of your retreat, we offer to move your $600 deposit to a future date. Unfortunately, cancellations made less than 59 days in advance are non-refundable. We encourage you to consider travel insurance for added protection against unforeseen circumstances. A CFAR is the best policy to consider for insurance. Thank you for your understanding.

Cancellation Policy


No, US dollars are excepted everywhere. However it is better to bring twenty dollar bills and smaller. Also there are not ATM’s close to most the accommodations. We recommend bring some spending cash for souvenirs, tips, etc..
